Youth Convention 2011

We had a great time at Youth Convention. Good food, fellowship and worship.

There are many things that go on when we all get together to visit... One being:

There is nothing more sweet than to see little children

crying and pouring their hearts out to God.

I love to see this.

We had a fantastic weekend. Good preaching, singing and altar

time... Good food (as always) and good fellowship with

all of our friends and family.

As I have said, many times before, my kids grow up way too fast.

Philip turned 17 on the 30th. Here he is with his

Triple Chocolate cake... We ate it with vanilla bean

ice cream and hot fudge.

Here he is with Sara... Our two middle children.

10 + years ago they would have killed each other if

they had to stand that close.

We picked up Chipotle burritos for supper.

Here he is, modeling his new leather jacket...

He's a mighty handsome fella...

It's hard to believe Philip is now 17. They really do grow up fast.

He has grown into a fine young man. He didn't get his birthday

wish... He wanted to be 6' by his birthday... I hope he had a

good day anyway... There is always next year.

It may seem crazy to some military families but...

It is a very emotional day to a (non-military)

Mom when her son

is old enough to sign up for Selective Services...

I think he needed to keep his head warm

while signing up...

Jacob entered the Shuler family.

Weighing in at 7lbs, 15oz and 20" long.

This was the day he was dedicated

back to the Lord... We are so thankful

God blessed us with another healthy child...

Here he is... The happy new Uncle with beautiful Zoe.

The years have flown by since 1992 and Jacob has

grown into a very nice, respectful, loving, God-fearing

young man. We are very blessed to have him in the Shuler

clan... He is our oldest boy... He is his Mom's body guard...

He is a great musician... He is caring... He has patience with

his siblings, parents and Great Grandma... He is a comedian...

Most of all... He has Jesus living in his heart

and desires to please Him....

He is a young Minister in The Church of God

and he is doing very well.

We have had a lot of fun over the past 18 years...

And there are more fun times ahead!

Jacob... I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Even if you do have tests today, in school...

How Are The Shuler Kids?

What do you get when you have five kids and a mom (who is NOT middle-aged... Since she plans on living until she is 100, she cannot be middle-aged yet) who is struggling to learn a new school system? A deadly combination!!!

The kids have been accepted into the Arizona Virtual Academy this year and so we are having to learn a whole new system... This has not been an easy beginning. As you will see by the following pictures, it's been a very stressful couple of weeks!

Ok... Maybe it wasn't as bad as it is made out to look like in these pictures... But believe me... It felt like it! We have survived so far... BARELY!

The kids and I staged this massacre for their dad, when he got home from work.

It was some great comic relief for a very stressful day.

When we finally get this system learned it will be GREAT! I hope...
