Tommy's Science Project

Tommy is learning about God creating
living and non-living things...
He planted some seeds on Aug. 11th
and this is what they look like today.

It is very exciting to put a seed in the soil and watch as it
grows. When that first bean popped through the
soil it was fun to watch his expression.
The kids are ready to plant a garden now.

1st Day Of School

Today was the first day of school. We all survived… Barely! 2nd grade all the way to 11th can be quite… Well… Interesting. Colin had today off so he was able to join us and start the day off with devotions. Once we get used to following a schedule again things should go much better.

What school do you know that the teacher comes to school in her pajamas? :-) Tomorrow the principal will go back to Home Depot for his other job. I hope the students survive. All kidding aside, we had a pretty good day. It should get easier once everyone gets into it.

This is devotions...
We are segregated, I guess..
Boys at this table...

And girls at this one.

(Wearing Jacob's glasses)

We made it through our first day with little injury... Tomorrow is another day.

Car Wash

This is Jacob advertising our car wash.
This was on Aug. 1, 2009. Our last two
car washes have been unsuccessful, but fun!

This was the highlight of our

Megan's 12th Birthday

Yesterday was our 3rd daughter's 12th birthday.
We spent the day, in the hot sun, in Phoenix,
at Castles and Coasters.

We were pretty much the only ones at the park. Most everyone else is smart enough to stay out of the heat. Not us... We were in for the fun. We spent a lot of time on the log ride... But around here you dry off so fast that you needed to go back to the water after every ride. It was only 112 degrees :-) It was fun, but we're all paying for it today. Sore bodies and exhausted. But you only turn 12 once...... so PARTY!
